General Feedback and Appreciation
First I want to thank the crew of GGG for the tireless efforts they have put in to bring us such an expansive game. I think you guys are on to something with what you are all cookin!
My perspective: just so you understand where this feedback comes from. I'm a former Diablo player (loved 2 and sometimes enjoyed 3. HATED 4 with a passion.) I was not a fan of POE1, I'm also a very casual player in most cases outside of playing wow (previously). With that being said I think that POE2 has a formula they shouldn't stray too far away from. I think the level of challenge within the game, more particularly on bosses is where it needs to be. I normally hate "souls like" games but I feel that GGG has really hit the nail on the head with how these boss fights feel and that you need to really know your class, know the fight in order to progress I would really hate to see the bosses get nerfed to appease the casual player base. (Except for Blackjaw... I need to have words with the devs who came up with him :P) There of course are some caveats. Respeccing is far too expensive, both in normal function in game and especially when a class gets bricked due to a nerf. One solution I feel would be very fitting would be a "respec" token to be given to any classes that receive game changing nerfs. I do believe that the respecc costs should also be reduced to encourage build discovery and experimentation. (if not in final release atleast in early release as we are basically in beta.) Honor system is brutally punishing towards melee classes and this system really needs to be looked at to help those players out. As a ranged class I was easily able to cheese this as my friend had to out level the challenge by about 8 levels before he had enough honor to beat the boss. Losing loot on death. I'm rather 50/50 on this decision. on the one hand I kinda feel like its a "oh punishment for dying and thrill of the hunt" and on the other "screw casual players and their time". Personally I like the concept but I think the game will be better off without it allowing for casual players to not be punished so hard. Favorable loot drop rates should be leaned a bit more towards the class you are playing. right now it feels like 80% of the loot I get on witch is either Warrior or Merc. My Ranger friend seems to get mostly Sorc/Witch gear. I'm sure you guys have it set up to encourage trading but this is a mostly frustrating experience as I feel like I'm spending more time looking for gear from my friends than I am playing the game or farming. And finally balance patches, I get that we are early access and balance is important so we don't have ppl 1 shotting bosses or burning them in seconds but the "cast on X" ability nerfs were super over the top, for an ability that takes 60 spirit (for me I used ignite maybe the others didn't get hit as hard) I went from having it go off once, maybe twice an encounter to once or twice on an entire map. I didn't read all the patch notes but felt like ignite also got nerfed as it completely bricked my build costing me 200k to respec (of which I could only half respec just so I could do enough damage to actually farm gold). Overall I think you guys are doing great with POE2 with most things. This is early access but don't forget that players paid to get into early access :) Lots of passionate folks out here both deving and playing. We all want the same thing. At the end of the day I think GGG is here to bring a vision to life with passion, not just cash in and milk us like Activision throwing the Blizzard stamp on something. So everyone chill let these doods cook. Last bumped on Dec 12, 2024, 8:09:47 PM

PLEASE! :D
