Chris got his vision

Played 20 hrs and POE 2 is Ruthless the base game is great ..BUT can you picture doing this every season? SO damn long makes it hard for the people who have a job. No Smart Loot nah the list goes on and on ... Sad as I think it could have been awesome not RUTHLESS

I can't honestly imagine doing this campaign again each season...
Not even another char in this one.
Mayba another one at the release but this will be the max for me.

i for one love the campaign, needs some polishing in terms of map overview but other than that its 10/10

It's kinda mind boggling to me. They insisted that they don't want to add campaign skips because campaign is important part of the game and that they instead will make it exciting in some ways, but I still fail to see what exactly is interesting, special or dynamic about PoE 2 campaign to make it exciting or engaging to replay.

If anything I now feel like I was too harsh to PoE 1 campaign which is just a blessing compared to this because there is actually loot, you can be relatively strong and fast, mobs don't respawn on death and you don't get stuck at bosses and can slowly chip away their health even if your build completely sucks.

I don't even know how amazing the endgame/league mechanics should look like for me to ever be motivated to stomach this campaign more than 1-2x a year.

Me neither. I already uninstalled after being bored out of my mind from doing my first two maps post-campaign. Playing hunt-the-rares for 10 minutes in white t1 maps ain't good gameplay, and it doesn't make slogging through such a long campaign worth it.

I always defended having to replay the poe1 campaign because it's pretty short and I can get through it in an afternoon after work as I build up the character. This though? Playing through the first three acts twice has already made me never want to touch them again. Severely shorten the maps, un-ruthless the game, add real crafting methods, and maybe I'll give it another shot. But otherwise I'm just bitterly waiting for the next poe1 league now, whenever that will actually come...

Yeah, i think you need 60/80 hours to finish the campaign, so even if you like to do it again, imagine the amount of time for a reroll or do that each season again.
I'll wait for new poe1 season too, i'll come back to poe2 when i'm bored end leagues and to see the final PoE2 but as a big fam of PoE1, i'm really disapointed with PoE2.
From my side, they wanted a larger audience who found poe1 too hard so they did PoE for casuals. Just my opinion.
