Thoughts on the game - PLS read and give me ur thoughts
I edited it so its easier to read
I have seen a lot of unhappy players talking about the state of the game and even though I love the current challenging nature of the game and love the campaign. I think the video (linked below) does bring up some good points on its longevity, as Jonathan said: "If you want players to continue and maintain its player base, the game should allow players to come and go (e.g. taking a break from the game and coming back)". An idea: It might be a good idea so that the players who just want to tank and smack the boss should be allowed to as that is why people select characters for (some sort of playstyle) instead of the boss one-shotting everyone. This issue of freedom of choice where all characters can use all types of weapons may allow for cool unique builds. However, I think that a balance between character identity and build customisations is also very important. I noticed that because of the implementation of dodge rolling it feels like it is almost a necessity to use it at all times no matter what build you using as you will just be one shot. For example, if a player wants to play a more squishy character they will need to be prepared to use dodge roll a lot and the current challenging nature of the game fits that play style. I understand there will be some downsides as, if you have characters that seem easier mechanically to play (not get one shot) might be chosen over the squishy characters if the idea above was implemented, but there could be some sort of balancing (more dmg or ability to use more/less types of element dependent on the class you are using. for example, a warrior might not be as talented at learning spells so they can only use two types of elemental skills but the benefit of choosing the warrior is that they don't get one shot from bosses). There may be issues with the idea I came up with but it feels like everyone playing the game in the same style (doge rolling -> more dodge rolling -> a skill) or (the boss dies before anything happens). Building pure dmg will just be better rn, and this causes less variety in the game. In the end, it is a balance that must be reached. Keep up the great work though, the game is fundamentally good it's just finding the right balance. :) This is the video I was talking about https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fcYe-1IUTSk Last edited by Deathraider#9203 on Dec 12, 2024, 3:46:26 PM Last bumped on Dec 12, 2024, 3:19:44 PM
