Light mirages seem out of place

I'm in the middle of the desert fighting demon scorpions and scarabs and skeletons, and then all of a sudden, slow-moving lightning-humans are trudging at me. They just seem out of place.

It feels like it would be better even if it was just a lightning-copy of the monster itself instead of a human.
