Apparently, fps issue is still a thing with sooo many players, including me. But it seems that this issue isn't getting fixed anytime soon (or never).
I don't think anyone has been able to figure out the common denominator as to why some people have the issue while others don't. And no, it's not the low-spec rig. Was super hyped to play PoE2, sat through queue and all - play time finally comes and no frames, bummer. The constant fluctuation of fps makes it super unplayable. Already tried ALL the possible fixes from everywhere on the internet even going as far as updating the BIOS! If there's god out there, please ask GGG to help us folks who can't play because of the frames issue. |

Yes, its affecting a lot of players. Same problem here.

Same problem! been having super high CPU usage and stutters. Seems POE 2 isn't optimized.
35-55 FPS Act 3 and Act 2 parts, especially in towns and now in end game. 1080p Everything low 30-50 fps i9 9900k 64 GB DDR4 3200 2080 ti 970 NVME M.2 WIN 10 Last edited by daimonxp#7517 on Dec 22, 2024, 11:07:52 PM

My PC is old so I expect fps drops in this game. Mostly it only occurs in tows where there are a lot of people. There is also some flickering in act3, but not specifically fps drops but that was fixed by turning texture quality to medium, I believe.
Surprisingly only place where fps drops happen for me and I find it a problem is in trials of sekhema. That is specifically during the hourglass trial. I think its tied to the summoning effect, since fps bottoms whenever a mob is spawned, then it goes back up after the effect ends. Surprisingly, I think this happens only on the second level and not the first. As for my PC, its basically slightly under what is recommended at steam page. |

The weird thing is, a week ago, it went up to 100+++ fps for me. next day, GONE. a few days later, it came back (mind you I was not adjusting anything on my end)
Now, it's back to 30-50. when it's smooth it's buttery smooth (it goes up to 160, my monitor's 165hz) now, I'm lucky to get 35 when in battle. 5600x 6600xt 32gb ram guess gotta wait for that tweak from the big boys. |

Weird .. my config isn't much different than many shown here but I'm not noticing stutters per-se.
I don't think my build vomits out tons of particle effects so maybe that's why I'm not noticing significant slowdowns?? AMD 5600X NVidia 3060TI [8GB] 32 GB DDR4 3200 M.2 NVME drive on a "game partition" WA DC server : Ping 19-24 MS DX12 Windowed Full Screen VSync Off DLSS Performance *************************** Update: 100FPS in hideout ; 80 FPS while doing nothing on a burning ground map ; 50-60 FPS when low to moderate particle effects are up. Note: I'm a big dumb melee guy so I need to stand still when most of my effects are going off ... maybe I don't see stutters because I'm not moving while "casting" [attacking] |

Radeon GTX 1650, "gaming" laptop AMD Ryzen 5 4600H 16 GB ram pretty much unplayable.
While in town fps is ok-ish whenever average pack appears while doinng maps it lowers to around 20 fps. FPS lowers to single digit when doing high density maps or breach or ritual. Often dying before mobs appear on the screen. Wind boss in ultimatum killed me and the animation went of literally 5 seconds after I died. Tried all setting combination, updated drivers, reinstalled windows, tried bunch of windows settings, formated pc etc. Nothing helps. I believe this is above minimal requirements but its uplayable. " Unless I'm missing the mark your laptop is at the low end of what's supported. My guess is that the "recommended" minimum GPU is actually one of the lower GPUs that is somewhat playable. That may not be fair but I suspect that's the case. GTX 1650 mobile is a pretty cut down GPU so that's probably where a lot of the issues (?) are coming from. |
