Ascendancy Bug missing 2 points

So it started off i completed the first trials and i died the same time as the boss so it kicked me out and i couldnt get back in or re run the first trial, so eventually i leveled up abit now i have completed the 2nd ascendancy trial and i got 2 points. but correct me if i am wrong i should 4 if i completed both floors of the trials my friend has onyl done the first one and he received 2 points.
