Trigger nerf just broke my cold sorc - GG now what ?

I was finally having fun with the sorcerer's cold comet trigger build and then you nerfed it to the ground. Took since release to play and build it right - JUST started hard mode and It's absolutely LAME to play now as a frost sorc and I can't keep up with my friends who are smashing through content. I'm very disheartened by this nerf, took the fun out of it completely.
The impact of that is that I'm less inclined to play now because I was having fun and that got taken away - we're not all hard core gamers with nothing but time to waste and ability to level up all classes. GGG went too far because fire + cast on ignite was too strong so every cast on * build got screwed in the process. The entire interaction between SRS and all the ignite quirks -- no other element was quirked nearly as much as fire. Rather than address the problem -- ignite -- they went blanket napalm on every other build. (pun intended)
GGG should offer free respecs until they figure out how they want their game to be balanced. I understand it's early access but some builds just got completely gutted and need to be rebuilt. Last edited by dautry#3521 on Dec 12, 2024, 10:27:59 AM

I would have been okay with less comets, but the way it's setup now is totally unviable and useless.
I went back to coldsnap and increased energy where I could find it. Seems to cast cold snap every two freezes. Comet took like 15-20 at my level it was utterly trash. Changed skills bigger walls, bigger comets (on manual cast) and cold snap on trigger. I turn the trigger off for bosses. It's going "okay" but I'm much slower than my friends warrior, archer, and bandit. It just blows chunks now. |

" This is literally the exact same sitation as me. i had finally got my skillbuild and started on hard mode and was having so much fun.i was even calling up friends on discord to show off my my new build. i went from having kinda fun to ALOT of fun demolishing the map with my cool new build and now to this poop barely casting comet anymore. I understand it was overperforming but the nerf hit too hard. And just the timing of me finally hitting that build i was going for and it got butchered got me really pissed.
