Monk: Combat frenzy + Resonance Ninja Nerf?

So you used to be able and get plenty of power charges through the above combo as shown in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9vxyoMrDjg&t=833s

However after the latest patch it doesn't seem to be the case and i can't for the life of me find any mention of it affecting this combo. Is this a bug? Anyone else noticed it?

No its not ninja nerf. You, me, and other people that utilize this combo also put "Infusion" support gem into Herald skill. This infusion support was bugged because it gives flat damage into all of our attacks. So if you use herald of ice with cold infusion, or herald of thunder with lightning infusion, you get flat cold or lightning damage into all of your attacks, and thats how you can freeze / shock things even if you dont have any other source of flat lightning or cold damage in your equipment.
