I am probably not the first to provide this feedback and I am unlikely to be the last. This boss like some of the others suffers from a severe instance of RNG induced toxicity.
Similar to the colossus fight, the boss chooses to use attacks at random especially around phase 2-3. This is very poorly designed as dodging in this game does not have i-frames, and you are locked in place during recovery. The result is chain rolling to avoid his moves -similar to the chasing prisms, that result in you being unable to outrun the ability, unless you dodge directly into it, it also causes the tracking to become bugged and irrational. Also as a design note, your bosses have a tendency to lock onto the player and aimbot you regardless of which direction the boss is facing. The bosses should have a hard locked rotation speed and not have a hard lock on. RNG is one of the worst elements of souls like games, even more so in Elden Ring. Bosses must have patterns.
