Redefining keybinds on poe2 is not the way...

There are several keybinds that doesnt translate well on console that are already solved in poe1. Here are some examples.

Item linking - it is too clunky and takes too many steps to link an item on chat compared to l3+circle of poe1

keyword search - often when looking at advance item description with stash tab open using l3 will also open the keyword search after, meaning another step to close search window when you only want to check item affixes. keeping poe1's l3+left dpad to open search couldve prevented this

switching cursor highlight between stash and inventory - using right analog stick currently serves the same purpose as left analog stick. this means to navigate between inventory to your stash will have you go through each of your items before switching the cursor to your stash/inventory. Again, using poe1's navigation would solve this as you only need to flick your right analog stick to move between stash and inventory

I dont understand the reason why some of these needs to be redefined when they already have the perfect system in poe1. reinventing the wheel is not always intuitive.

Things like the L3+Left Dpad button mappings are just awful.

I'm not sure why they don't do more of the bindings with the standard buttons like L3+X, L3+B etc which would let us keep our hands on the controller where they normally are rather than force us to move a hand over to the opposite side of the controller.

Right stick and left stick do different things when navigating around the inventory and stash/npc. Left stick always moves in single grid increments unless there's a possibility to fast move, whereas right stick quick moves between the edges of each area. This does mean you have to move the right stick twice to get between the sides of the interface, but it's not a big deal imho.

I don't see any reason why they can't offer a legacy POE1 style navigation for anyone that wants to keep the previous scheme and be able to tap into their muscle memory, but I prefer the changes we have so far and have zero interest playing the older game so no risk of learning something new.

I dont mind your solution. just dont let it overlap with l3 when checking affixes while stash is open

sorry. to clarify, im referring to special tabs such as currency, essence. etc... you'll have to go through each currency type you have before it switches to your inventory.

I also dont mind learning the new system as long as it functions properly.
If the new way of doing things is more complicated than the old way. then there's something wrong with the ui design for console.
L3 for search and advanced item description is so bad.
