So Cast on Freeze is meant to be a dead / niche skill? That what we're going for?

Cast on Freeze Cold Sorc was extremely fun to play. Stack freeze buildup, freeze things, blow them up. It was just fun.

Definitely a bit overtuned, but the primary culprit was Comet being so insanely strong. Take a skill that normally has a really long cast time and make it constantly rain from the sky and that's what you get. Looking around on YouTube I see numerous builds from multiple classes using Cast on X with Comet simply because the spell is so strong.

Nerfing Cast on X was the wrong play IMO. The nerf absolutely gutted Cold Sorc. None of the other skills feel very impactful at all now damage-wise. I can summon a Frost Wall and then Frost Bomb and wait for it to go off, or I can freeze things and try to manually cast Comet. None of this does very much DPS, though. Frostbolt still does ZDPS. My clear speed went from decent to absolutely abysmal.

If the plan was to make Cast on X somewhat niche while making builds that focus on it completely obsolete, then I'd say you hit the nail on the head. But it eliminated a fun playstyle.

Yea... them decided to take a wrecking ball to nerfing instead of a nerf bat makes me so glad the only money I wasted on this game was the EA price. Glad I decided to not buy any of the more expensive supporter packs for PoE2 lol.

GGG this ain't the way, u're destorying playstyles instead of nerfing em. I'd appreciate to redo them and do proper nerfing like dmg decreases from triggered spells ect.

I have been staying up way too late playing COF Sorc, and as a new player I was feeling pretty good about figuring out the skill tree and skill interaction on my own without following any guides.

Just as I am getting ready to finish Cruel Act 3 and get into end game which will probably consume all my free time, GGG stepped in and stopped me from being irresponsible any further.

Now I can forget about POE2 and revert back to a normal schedule where I cook, go to the gym, read and learn Japanese in the evening.
