Feedback/suggestions after full clearing campaign and first map
5k+ hr POE 1 player. 51 hours through campaign and first map. Did a lot of grouping and rerunning zones to help friends.
Good: +challenging gameplay +challenging bosses +visual clarity is better than POE +played w/o map overlay mostly because I wanted to enjoy the scenery +WASD feels great, but default key mapping is terrible for skills RTY. No idea how you'd reach them. I mapped them to mouse buttons which is good now. +General performance is way better than expected +Vendors often sold me upgrades which was amazing Bad w/suggestions: -"u" (map) loads slow. Requires a fix. -map icons for bosses are hard to see complete vs incomplete. Suggest using a red X for completed. -confused on the purpose of the general boss icon, for ones that give no reward. Suggest removing them because they are a distraction, or suggest giving them some mega loot explosions or something as a way to help players farm up. -I like respecing with gold, but it costs too much; at least in campaign. Suggest cutting the cost by 75% in campaign. -(post-patch) campaign loot felt still a bit too low. Maybe another doubling from where it's at. -(post-patch) I saw big bumps in currency coming in, but if you want people to craft on their own it needs to be far more prevalent (5X+ as much). Maybe an idea would be far more essences given out? I don't know. -Act bosses - they're big baddies and most of them wrecked me for 7+ times before I killed them. I'm fine with this, but give me a guaranteed unique or something. I often got nothing or a rare. This doesn't hype you up to keep going into the next act. -haven't found a GCP sill -4x lesser jewelers orbs. I would expect to finish campaign with nearly full 4-links. Possibly a 5link. This is close to correct, but probably bump this a little or provide some quest rewards of them. -/passives doesn't work. I don't know if I want it to though. Make this scan passives once/day when people enter maps and give them a chat message if they missed anything. I'm sure there are people that don't know /passives is a thing. -HO - where's my hideout? Why can't I access it pre-maps? It made trading have more friction. Maps (post-patch) I full cleared all mobs in my first map which was a blue waystone with two mods. -the layout was enormous and swiss-cheesy. It felt tedious trying to ensure I found everything. Tighten (narrow) things up or provide more sightrange through fog of war. -loot. I completed the map with a transmute, an aug, a blue staff, and a white socketed bow. OMG that's terrible. It was far worse than any campaign zone I cleared post-patch. My POE brain expects about a full inventory. This needs addressing still. It's not right. Last bumped on Dec 11, 2024, 4:33:41 PM
