Act3 quest skipped and can't obtain green quest items but can proceed.

So my friend was afk in a party and another friend of his played while he was afk.
Once my friend was back from AFK, his quests were automatically finished and couldn't obtain his usuable green quest item due to friend of him already pushed through. Is there any possible ways to get the quest rewards??
