LOOT is still trash after update.
Loot is still trash after update.
The number of different types of currency/items you can loot is stupidly low = loot tables are EMPTY. Increasing the amount of currency /item drops a little won't change this. This games will have ZERO economy in this state. The fact that there is a loot filter in this game is a sadistic joke. Can't wait for 3.26 and I bet every OG Poe player is as well. Once the game hoppers are finished playing this. The Player count in this game WILL PLUMET and it will end up at the same spot D4 and D3 are. Last bumped on Dec 11, 2024, 8:14:23 PM

I wonder if it's bugged, because I'm seeing a LOT of empty chests and loot containers.
I've just played a Merc to 10 and haven't had a single support gem drop. By level 10 in PoE1 I've got a ton of gems and I'm experimenting and having fun. In comparison, this is dull as ditchwater. Something's up, this can't be the intended game loop. |

Dunno man. Did you consider that maybe they WANT the loot to be sparser and more difficult to get? That maybe this is more of a design decision and not an oversight?
You don't like it, that's fine. Lot's of people seem to be ok with the new direction. I missed the loot explosions at first too, but it's growing on me and I like the way it is right now. You sound very mad about a video game. |

Problem is not loot being scarse. Problem is that they removed complexity entirely. There is no depth in the crafting system. It's like they removed crafting. If that is what they want, fine, I'll pass.
Yes I'm mad, because they should've known that poe got popular because of it's depth. Now it just feels like they wanted to copy D4 to get a slice of the multi million dollar pie. But who can blame them right? Lastly, the devs want feedback, this message is directed to them, not the game hoppers who will be playing the next "BIG" game next month. This game is the direct opposite of what OG poe players liked in terms of itemization/economy. So my point is, until they fix crafting and itemization, they will a big chunk of their loyal poe players, and then when the game hoppers leave to play the next hyped game out there, the player numbers will plummet. Let's see how this plays out. |

" So is loot being scarce the problem or not? It definitely got better for me, both a few more rare item drops and notably more raw currency drops. Maybe this increase in loot is still not enough, but it certainly is a good start. Also with regards to loot, you have to check the vendors regularly - that's where a portion of the ground loot went and I have bought several solid and a few really good items. And yes, the complexity is not on the level of PoE 1, but how could it? PoE 1 has amassed 12+ years of content. Meanwhile, PoE 2 is in it's first week of EA. The game will grow throughout EA and then with leagues after release. Not trying to convince you of anyhting, just putting things in perspective. Nobody will force you to play if you don't like the game. |

Personally, I'm really not a fan of all my gear upgrades coming from vendors or trade since like the end of act2.
Might as well have a gacha system to pull for items since we're going the 'items don't come from drops' route. Oh, wait, we do xD The first 2 acts are fine because I can use off-main-stat base armors, but starting in act3, the attribute requirements get high enough that I need all my attributes in my main stat to use my gems/links/weapons, and thus the armor drops are 1/6th of what it was in act1, which results in me never dropping anything equipable. Am now close to the end of act4 and the problem only increases with rising level. Last edited by Xyel#0284 on Dec 11, 2024, 9:51:34 AM

" Stop playing on words to try to look smarter and win an argument the easy way. Loot IS scarce AND complexity is gone. You know what I meant. As for not being forced to play the game, this is also a manipulative way to try to win an argument for the sake of winning it. It feels like I'm arguing with my wife FFS. Anyway, done talking to you. Let's see how this whole thing turns out. I know they will find a way to turn things around. Like I said, they were asking for feedback, I'm giving them. |

" This, plus I would be "kind of fine" trying to source a portion of my items from vendors, but you can't even refresh their inventory, you're stuck with what's in it, so what's the point? |

Sounds like someone killed a boss twice in a row and didn't get anything so starts crying on the forums. Duablo 4 begs for your return.

Fanboys be like "Why do you want loot in an ARPG game? Go back to Diablo 4!"
And then wonder why there will be nobody playing this game in a month or 2. Go look at playercounts for PoE1 Ruthless mode, that's where this game is headed. |
