Weapon missing (Grants Skill) mod

I bought a chiming staff via trade and the "Grants Skill: Level # Sigil of Power" mod is not on it.

I tried buying a different chiming staff from another player and it too was missing that particular weapon mod.

Same, if trying to by staff it sells without skill for some reason, even on trade website shows it has skill, I wanted to buy staff with frozen shards(I use it) and +6 cold spell skill gems. But cant, as soon other person puts in trade window skill is gone. so using lower level with +3 I got somewhere.
This issue might be related to act 3 where you step into the gateway in town. Started happening thereafter.

Upon reaching act 1 (cruel), I tried purchasing a cheap weapon and yet again the skill is missing on the trade window.

This time though the missing skill reappeared in my inventory after the trade went through, so seems it became a visual bug.

Take note the first time it happened, it was not merely a visual bug as the weapon was still missing the mod when equipped.

Last I checked, the visual bug is still there on the trade window but goes away once it's in my inventory.
I bought a staff with this issue, missing sigil of power, from a player. I asked them about it because I was curious and they said "ritual based mb" which I'm assuming means they got it from a ritual altar.
It's just a visual bug on trade windows (even in chat it would show up without sigil if you ask to link it as a demostration), but the mod is actually there.

As long as all the other mods are the same it's like 99% that's the staff you want so it's should be safe to buy it.
Still it's something to be fixed asap, as my first thought was like i was getting scammed.
Currently having this issue with a new shield I just bought. The Raise Shield skill is missing.
Interesting. If it's a visual display issue might be related to why the skills also disappear when putting skill-granting items in the Disenchant window.

I should clarify with the missing Raise Shield ability for me, it is not just visual. The ability isn't available with the shield equipped in my skill bar.

I found a workaround for this issue which might work for you till it's sorted out.

For my case, the sigil of power mod was missing on my chiming staff.

So I was trying a bunch of things to try to solve it which made me realize that if I just put another chiming staff (affixes didn't matter for me) on my 2nd weapon slot, I could activate the missing skill via my 2nd weapon slot.

Thing is, whenever I activated sigil of power, it would use the mods that was on the weapon I equipped on the 2nd slot. This was not an issue for me because as soon as I casted my main skill, it would revert to the mods on 1st weapon slot BUT I still had the sigil of power effect (since its a duration skill).

This might not be viable for your case.

That is working for me, thank you. It is a little awkward losing the benefits of my main shield, but being able to active block again is a godsend.
