Question regarding Attributes in PoE2
Hello, I hope this is the correct subforum for this question. The PoE2 Subforums seem to be only for Beta Feedback, the Help Subforum seems to be more for technical issues, not gameplay related questions, and the "build" Subforum seems to be for complete builds of PoE1.
I have a general Question regarding Attributes in PoE2. Reading the Attribute text, it seems that all they effect are one specific Stat, Strength increases Health, Dexterity increases your hit chance, and Intelligence your Mana pool. So they have no impact on stuff like your attack speed, Damage or Resistances, am I seeing that right? So if I would want to play the Monk class, because I like the passives on their starting side of the Tree, but want to use a Hammer as my Main weapon like a Warrior, I only need enough Strength to wield the weapon to use it to its maximum potential? Say the Hammer needs 15 Strength, would it be the same in the Hands of a 15 and 50 Strength Character? I am sorry if this is a noob question and if there is somewhere I can look this up, please let me know. But thank you in advance for everyone who is going to help me out :) Last edited by Raoul9753#2068 on Dec 11, 2024, 6:39:48 AM Last bumped on Dec 11, 2024, 6:55:00 AM

" No, they have not. However, for releasing full potential, you will need more strength for higher skills levels, not just enough to wield the weapon. Otherwise, you will not be able to level up your skills. Last edited by Suchka_777#4336 on Dec 11, 2024, 6:34:35 AM

" Right, Skills have requirements too, I totally missed that. Thank you so much for the answer^^ If i might bother you again, "Skill speed" is that like Cooldown reduction, or does it affect the animation of skills, making them hit faster? |

If you want more responses, post in the POE2 forums (Check Forum Index) - ALL THE POE2 players (except a very few) post there.

" There are separate nodes on skill tree for the cooldown reduction. Skill speed is an additive bonus to both attack speed and cast speed. Last edited by Suchka_777#4336 on Dec 11, 2024, 6:41:53 AM

By the way, very useful thing which is easy to miss (I didn't notice it first) is that you can press Alt key when reading some description and hover mouse over underlined word to see details about it.

" They made very good explanations, but didn't explain how find them :) |
