Eldritch Battery ES calculation
There is calculation priority problem with Eldritch Battery. First noticed this after using The Everlasting Gaze Azure Amulet. While it should add the bonus es to my mana it adds an energy shield buffer on my health pool even if I have Eldritch battery. After this, I started to test energy shield nodes on three and those also did not work when I don't have energy shield, my ES increased if I took an ES node but my mana did not increase when I had eldritch battery. Might be an easy but impactful fix because this miscalculation puts MOM in a hard place atm

I believe based on the new "Convert" rules the passives for % Increased Maximum Energy Shield should not be affecting mana if using ES. None of the passive tree nodes will work because of this. However, % Increased Maximum Energy Shield on an amulet does increase mana for some reason. Additionally, nodes that increase the amount of ES an equipped item provides are not working like "Dreamcatcher" when using EB and I think that is unintended as well. Hopefully we get some clarity and fixes here soon. |

Not a bug. If you view the Eldritch Battery node in the passive skill tree and hover over the word "convert" it clearly states that the conversion only applies to your base ES. It means that it converts ALL of your base ES. That doesn't stop items from converting life to energy shield after the fact, which is what happens in this case.
So order of operations as intended is: 1. Base ES is converted to mana by Eldritch Battery 2. Ghostwrithe or Atziri's Disdain convert life to ES 3. Everlasting Gaze adds ES based on base mana 4. Percentage increases from skill nodes are then applied to both ES and mana These are intended interactions which many people have mistakenly interpreted as a bug because they haven't read the "convert" tooltip on the Eldritch Battery node. |
