why is there no zoom function on consoles?

At the system level under accessibility there’s a zoom option that may prove useful in the meantime.

This would absolutely prove NOT useful. It's not the same as zooming in to your character, to view armour, or pets, or scenery.

Agreed. Perhaps GGG should have charged less for the console early access, as we are getting less than the PC version.

This is something I forgot was an issue even in the first game so after a while I stopped thinking about it. D4 went with more character customization and showing your character in the equipment screen so I guess they felt it made a lot of sense to have it there. The only zoom we had in PoE was when you opened the inventory and it slightly focused on your character.

Sure enough accessibility zoom works but only somewhat, you can’t really play that way. The mini map, skillbar, health and mana globes are not visible. Also any screenshots take you out of zoom which is annoying. It would be a nice addition to the radial menu or an optional key bind for those who want to use such a feature.
