Loot Drops Disappear If You Die And Respawn To Checkpoint

The worst part of this game is if you kill a boss, see a Unique Item drop, and you die from a DoT poison or other dot. Then when you respawn your loot is GONE!!!!

Your loot should not disappear if you die and respawn at the checkpoint. Especially when the check point is twenty feet away from where your loot dropped. :(

Even worse the boss encounter will not respawn either, because the map shows I beat the boss! I beat the boss and don't get my loot.

I was in Act 1, killed the boss in the Dryadic Ritual, saw a unique staff and some rares drop. I was so happy i did not notice my health and died after the fight was over. I respawned and the loot was all gone, and the ritual was empty, no one there. I logged out of the game even, to try and get the boss to respawn, and he's just gone.

My very first unique stolen from me. They really need to not punish us like that, taking our loot away. What game does this???? Apparently this one. I'm a bit upset at this new realization of what they game does.

This is beyond sadistic, especially with the drop rates that everything started with.

I suppose m this happens every time we die, they reset the whole damn map after we respawn at checkpoint, then wipe all the loot that dropped.

It's just that I never really noticed it before. But I definitely noticed this time. The loot drops are so pathetic, I was stunned to see rares and a unique drop. so yeah, this really is upsetting.

They will need to change this whole "Souls-like" BS else the game will fail.
POE1 is not Souls-Like. We play this to be POE not some other game. If I wanted to play a Souls-Like Id go play Elden Ring. But guess what. Iv never played that game or Dark Souls because I dont like them.

POE1 has some issues but its a good game. I expected POE2 to be LIKE it not some other game.

What seems to drop a lot, is weapons and items for the type of class you that are not playing ;)

It's still happens.

The kicker is, the boss disappears after you respawn, if you killed him before you died. So not only is all your loot gone, but you cannot try to kill the boss again either.
