Necromancing. So you put in the game but don't want me to play it?
A summoner should be like being a QB on a football team.
Defensive line keeps the heat off you. You summon a replacement when one starts wearing thin. And through that line pushing as well as being supported by any ranged minions you have (as well as maybe a direct spell or two from the summoner) are able to hopefully defeat the enemy. mobs go where they want when they want, PERIOD. Small ones shove my minions (often multiple) and me around like we weigh nothing. Like we're not fighting back. Also, this timer based "revive" thing is bogus. I should be able to reinforce my army by spending mana. Make a castable skill. The timer would also be better if it was per minion rather than ALL. I'm heavy into the summoning stuff and as a result I've run across a boss that I can't defeat cause of the cheesing of speed skills resulting in it standing on my toes the entire fight until it gets one lucky hit off and I insta-die. If you don't want me to play this way, don't make it seem like a viable path. Had I known this was going to be like ice skating uphill I would have picked another game. Hopefully some dev reads this and makes an effort to fix the summoner. Last bumped on Dec 11, 2024, 12:09:21 AM

" Totally agree...Only a non-player or a masochist would make it works like this... |

It'd be sick if they switched the spacebar to be class dependent.
IE: Necro hitting the spacebar causes minion to as one push the enemy back from the summoner. |

Just look at at kripp's guide its basically fool proof and very good. IDK about scaling armor vs es like he is but the skills/gems are undisputably the best and will make acts a joke.
Only thing minions need is convocation and an ascendency. Infernalist isnt terrible, but its lacking compared to a proper asc. |

After level 60, your minions are pretty much immortal if you invest in it. My skeletons have 83% elemental resist, 50% chaos resist, 75% pdr. I'm using skeleton clerics to revive the minions I sacrifice.
The dog from ascendancy is great also, it has embedded Infernal Army support, and gets additional sockets as you level. It's really good for supports like Fire Exposure/Maim/Blind. Meat Shield support provides 50% more damage from his ignite aura. If you have resists and some block chance, you're good to go, you don't need a lot of defenses as summoner. |

Sounds like you are in some low level gameplay. Most of my bossfights are me just running around while my minions defeat the boss. Rarely do they die.
