Difficulty Levels

Are there no plans for allowing players to select different difficulty levels? Couldn't this resolve a lot of the frustration poe1 players are feeling?

With such polarization in the playerbase about how difficult the game should or shouldn't be, wouldn't it be nice for players to be able to choose how things are tuned?
