My experience with Path of Exile 2 so far

Ok so I am a lifetime player of POE 1, LOVE the game. I could talk about this for hours but POE1 was everything i was wanting from the "Diablo" series of games.

So far in path of exile 2, I haven't spent even an hour or two total.

Here is my 2 cents:

- Everything seems super slow. Walking around, attack speed, killing enemies takes forever.

- Enemies are too hard. Listen, i understand PoE 1 was a easy game, but its too far. I still want to have fun and not die 10 times before i get to the first cave. maybe scale the difficulty higher as you level? give us a little time to develop a character a little?

- The space bar to dodge. I wanted to like this. but its just clunky. i dodge wherever i am pointing my mouse. i just don't like it. i which i could disable this. but then i would die 100 times more. the game is centered around dodging obviously melee and spell attacks. which is stupid. Dark soul type games i hate. i don't want super complex basic combat against a "rat" or "rabid wolf" these should not be as hard and complex as bosses are. I'm fine with hard bosses.

- all the great stuff i purchased for poe 1. none of it works in poe2 except tabs. RIP. way to NOT get any more money from me.

overall. my pc experience has been poor. between the crashing servers, long ques, and the poor gameplay experience. i finally might be just done with path of exile all together. I would play 1 still, but im sure that game is as good as dead now without any future to it.

Just as a side note, it seems like your poe1 MTX will be present on POE2, but that will take time.

I would assume that this would be finished with the full release

Are you using mouse to move? If so, consider trying WASD movement. If you're not used to it, it may take some time to adjust to, but keyboard + mouse is a widespread standard in games for a reason. It lets you separate movement and aiming, which requires a bit of time to get used to, but once mastered is just way better than moving and aiming with the same input vector.

There's a reason every single gamepad ended up adopting the two analog sticks design after it came about, because having two separate input vectors for movement and aiming is just vastly superior as a control scheme. It gives you so much more control and flexibility in how you control your character. It may not seem that way when you're not used to it, when you've played mouse-only for years, but after the initial learning curve it's fantastic.

Can't find where they said it but I think there is like a small percentage of the mtx's that won't work though due to compability issues (but maybe that has changed meanwhile I don't know).
