Iceshot ranger build??

Has anyone tried out iceshot and made it feel good? I rolled a ranger because I wanted to play iceshot for but since it cannot freeze/shatter I'm not seeing much of a reason to play it. Still can't figure out why it cannot freeze kind of seems like the whole purpose of it.

I also want to play iceshot.. but after i did try.. its so weak till now i still trying to find way to make it work. ;-; sad its cant freeze.

It can freeze you need Support gems for that to work, specially level 2/3 gems

I'm using ice shot for kiting — with miam, knockback, mobility gems. Or for keeping enemies inside of rain of arrow.

They're planing to buff Ranger Ice abilities in most recent news post.

Im not sure they really deleted - can not freeze enemies on iceshot skill, afteter they lunched Poe2EA. Before that - there was written on gem description that it can't freez and cant freeze build up, but can chill and utilize 350% more dmg on frozen enemy. It's not written anymore, but perhaps there is some inside mechanics that prevents from freeze, because I could not freeze enemies too.
