Why does GGG hate its player base?

So i kill a monster and it drops a unique. I am looking at the loot and a delayed blast goes off and kills me. Bad enough. Come back and the loot is gone. Huh? What is the point of that other then to just piss off the people playing your game.

You can scream skill issue!!! but all this does is have one less person playing your game and spending money on it.

Makes no sense to me.

That definitely needs to be fixed.

PoE 2 is like this because since Utimatun (with the exception of Affliction) ALL Tencet knows how to do is create time-gates. Nothing in PoE 2 is there because it's fun, or because the fanbase likes it, like making Sanctum a barrier for Ascension, which had become a meme given the league's gigantic failure.
Sanctum is not only poorly designed but it is outrageous to the RPG-aRPG audience because the objective and a good part of the fun of this style is in your build, so Sanctum IGNORES 99% of all the stats of your build, gives you a non-regenerative hp bar and a random circuit made for you to fail and WASTE TIME, and all this is JUST to make you waste time because that way you don't get to the point where you realize that the game has nothing new or good to offer.
"The loot you wanted so much fell and you went to get it and died from an invisible effect or that was not calculated wrongly? What a shame now you lost everything and you'll have to do it again and try again in the lottery until you see that item again... see how difficult our game is..."
No, that's not difficulty, it's JUST a time-gate, and except for incurable addicts, when that happens I quit the game and go do something else with my life because I have MUCH more to do, and the gamer market is extremely competitive with many and better games. It's no wonder that BG3 has the retention it has because it's simple and honest, it's an RPG GAME and not a huge time-gate.
I don't know, but I bet the answer will be eventually discussed under the POE 2 sub-forum
