Targeting needs lots of work
I'm not gonna sugarcoat it - targeting on console is awful.
I tried using left stick exclusively as well as twin stick shooter mode, and neither of these work well. My assumption was that when I'm using single stick, I would target whatever I'm facing, while in twin stick mode I would be able to walk and target enemies independently. However, the problem is that even when I use left stick only, my character still strafes, targeting enemies as they see fit. Meanwhile, when I use twin stick mode, it feels like it's random more often than not. I can stand right next to an enemy tilting right stick towards them, and yet my character decides to target some mob in the further away, 70 degrees away from my chosen direction. I've tried both Focus Fire enabled and disabled, and I don't see much difference. I assumed that it's either auto-targeting with left stick only, or manual targeting with left or left+right stick, but that's not the case. I guess focus fire makes me less likely to switch targets? It would be great to have better targeting, since the only reason I purchased the supporter pack was the promise of improved controller support. One would assume that when a game is developed with a controller in mind (and controller support on PC) the experience would be a lot smoother. I imagine the best way would be implementing some sort of aiming "cone" that targets enemies only in given direction, whether it's with left stick (classic targeting) or right stick that overrides left stick input (POE2 twin stick targeting). In my honest opinion Diablo 3-4, Last Epoch and even Minecraft Dungeons (lol) did controller targeting really well Last bumped on Dec 9, 2024, 9:43:37 PM

I never played a game with such a terrible controls, simply it does what it wants, I can't cast my skills where I want at any given time because my character is not only stuck with targeting controls you cannot change but it's also rotating with it in every way when mobs are in range. It feels really bad to play on controller I don't have control over my character
