Gregoire Boss at the end of the Mansion/Manor run
So that Gregoire/Wolf spawn at the end of the manor run. Why does it feel so much like a WoW Raid Boss?
Is there some trick to surviving his myriad attacks in phase two? Now some observations... Why isn't it soloable with a same level toon? Why isn't it killable with several grouped same level toons? The mechanisms he hits with one shot all of us. Pretty much respec'd for full damage reduction and still can't survive. First phase in fight Greggy is down in seconds, second phase, well, we all die in seconds. I get some bosses being hard, but this is ridiculous. Also, I've noticed now that I am lvl 17 it is just as hard to kill lvl 5 mobs as it was when I was lvl 5. Sounds like another bow to WoW land. And yes, I've set my settings to "play at my own level when grouped" ... Add the display crashes, and the lag when I move back to Dx11 to avoid the display crashes, and POE 2 is feeling like a non-starter. Sure, it is beta and all, but the display issues shouldn't exist because there are just too many game solutions out there that simply work. Last bumped on Dec 10, 2024, 3:38:11 PM

To be honest, this particular boss shouldn't be really that difficult. Only time I struggled was with minion witch because the AoE kept killing the minions and I had no dead corpses to raise zombies with or anything else.
Surviving its phase 2 wasn't difficult as long as you have enough hp to survive the slam attack and a way to deal with the mobs in the fishbowl attack while remaining mobile. To be clear, I could survive it without investing into survivability in passive tree nor having gear to increase hp. Now it might be a gear issue in terms of being able to damage it. Upgrade your weapon if possible. If you got an exalt drop, then buy a new weapon from trade if its a significant upgrade. If it's legitimate skill issue, then you might wanna reconsider playing this game. I can tell you that it only gets worse with end of act2, the trials and so on. To me, the effort isn't rewarding enough so I just quit personally. Also, use WASD. It makes things much easier. Last edited by Mellowautomata#3296 on Dec 9, 2024, 12:58:24 PM

Pay attention to his charge. If you roll at the right time, you take no damage. It's a rythm game. Died to him only once, to the red beams, because I messed up.

his name is Geonor btw ;)
he was super easy with totems. just gotta roll every 4 seconds in the "blizzard" phase and that's it. the rest is pretty straight forward, move out of bad. i'm sure he would be tougher if i was pure melee but with something to do damage while i run around it was EZPZ |

You guys aren't getting the same fight we are getting. He spawns random attacks that hit random spots that one shot us. Unavoidable as far as we can tell. It's a RNG fight and unless you can one tap him the odds are very much against you.
What is so lame is that going back to fight earlier bosses to get better gear - those earlier bosses are leveling up with me. So they are progressively harder to kill - a lv 18 toon has trouble killing a lvl 10 boss? Really? A pair of lvl 10 mobs kill you if they hit you simultaneously? Either my character is the weakest sorc in the game and every new piece of gear reduces my base stats; or the game seems broken. But the gear thing seems real: the better the gear that drops the more I see negative attributes. A legendary helm that adds bleed damage to me when I am hit. There's making a game difficult, then there's just being stupid about it. Last edited by eEridani#1169 on Dec 10, 2024, 3:38:48 PM
