PoE 2: Movement bonus when there are no more mobs on the map???
Crossing the large PoE 2 maps when there are no more monsters takes a long time, perhaps generating a movement bonus on already completed maps would be interesting.

How about giving players mounts, and providing some kind of mobility buff because of it and very, very limited combat utility? Ie, give some kind of skill based on the mount, but with very high cool down rate so you can't use it for combat, just as a way to initiate (similar to D4, but make it better).

I would just like a sprint with Shift that gives 50% movement speed but applies a debuff to all defenses while sprinting, like "Your defenses are 0 while sprinting - Lasts for 2 seconds after stopping." This way, you can use it tactically between fights or just to traverse a map faster when it's emptied. I REALLY dislike how much time is wasted due to slow backtracking.

Yeah I guess mounts will be useful.
The speed of the combat is similar to elden ring and the map in ER is also massive so I think mount will be fine? |

The mount mechanic is such a disgrace. Oh god, what is this game turning into by pandering to greed and trying to attract Blizzard fans?

Im not a Blizzard fan, I prefer this game to D4 by like a million fold, it's so good and genre defining. That being said, it is in Early Access, and I'm not sure how mounts are a bad idea. Nothing too drastic or gameplay changing, essentially make it only viable once, and not something you can spam and use to traverse maps with a lot of enemies spread about (IE minutes long casting time). Make them only usable outdoors, etc. . .
Let the skill be a simple dismounting, and nothing too crazy or fancy, but adding some unique utility to it without adding to combat sounds like a good fun compromise without drastically changing the combat loop as it is, which is really good. |
