PoE 2 Gemling Legionnaire
I'm currently playing as a Gemling Legionnaire, i have chosen the "Adaptive Capability" to prevent having attribute issues for Gems. But i'm not able to upgrade my current gems because my int is too low, even though my str is way higher. If i unequip my own skill, i can pick 1 at a higher level and use it. But then it loses the additional sockets. This cant be intended ☺️

Bump, same issue

Same issue. This is quite a serious detriment because the way around it is to respect passives until meeting the attribute requirements when upgrading gems. After this, respect back to the stacking stat.
E.g. respecting passive strength nodes to dex, so I meet the increased dex requirement on grenades for levelling up the grenade skills. Then respecting the attribute node back to str. Respecting is costly, and players who wish to use Adaptive Capabilities must pay extra gold for it. So far I've paid 15k+ gold with delayed gem upgrading. Those gold are resources that would otherwise be available. |

Have had the same issue throughout the campaign, but now that I've gotten to maps, I straight up can't create or equip any gems that I should be able to using the adaptive capability node.

Nevermind; my STR just isn't high enough to satisfy the INT requirement

Same problem here. Won't let me upgrade the gem even though I have the "Adaptive Capability" ascendency so then I have to create a new gem and replace it, making me lose the extra sockets or having to respec my passives to get enough of the specified attribute and respecing it back again costing TONS of gold. Please fix!

Same here, two link gaming for a long time...

Bump, this bug is still ongoing.
It seems to be a problem specifically with hybrid stat gems; any gem that takes only STR/DEX/INT will correctly use your highest stat to fill the requirement, but the gems which take more than one stat (Such as literally every single crossbow skill >_>) only replace one of the requirements with your highest attribute. |

Bump. Tried to socket in a int support gem and it says i don't have enough into satisfy requirements even though the skill has other int supports already

It sounds like you're facing a tricky situation with your Gemling Legionnaire build! Have you considered playing the Slope Game during downtime? It’s a fun way to sharpen your reflexes while waiting for your stats to balance out. As for your gems, maybe focus on equipment that boosts your intelligence temporarily so you can upgrade without losing sockets. There might be hidden synergies you can explore!
