Ascent to Power Quest Buggy in Multiplayer

I have been going through PoE2 with a friend, and when we got to the Trial of the Sekhemas, they interacted with the pedestal before I did and started the trial, which progressed my quest too, leaving me unable to interact with it in any way, even after leaving and coming back.

I am having the exact same issue here
