Close to amazing, but needs slight rebalancing to improve game feel
Game speed is just a touch too slow which makes it feel like a slog. Begins to pick up at around A1 Cruel. I'd expect it to feel like that at around A2.
The rest of the game's issues are caused by loot being non-existent. In my entire playthrough I haven't used a single crafted/dropped item, and believe me I tried. Everything was shop supplied. Finally, this would probably be fixed by improving the loot, but the game seems to have an inverse difficulty curve. A1 is about 4 times harder than A1C (I take 1/2 damage and deal 2x damage compared to when I was at the same spot). Still, it's odd. Changes I'd make: - Players have ~10% more action speed - Increase loot by a drastic amount, probably requires more than double or even triple. - Normal difficulty enemies have ~10% less damage and life. - Cruel difficulty enemies have ~20% more damage and life. (This is to compensate that we will have better loot). Last bumped on Dec 8, 2024, 11:08:42 PM

So... the speed is wrong, the loot is wrong, and the difficutly is wrong? Just a slight change. Lol.
Game sucks. |

Yup. The thing is that this is not a design or philosophy issue, just tweaks. I'm really liking the idea so far, and once I invested a LOT into attack speed, the game is just beginning to flow well.
It's just a numbers thing. |
