Hugely disappointed by the attitude of PoE1 addicts on forum

POE2 is a real diverse product, with geniune difficulty to test an actual human being. I've logged off today at the start of Act 3 with Monk and I loved the progression, through many mechanical struggles, dieing and adapting to challenge.

If you want to instantly experience "spacing out", then you're going to have to work for it/follow a guide/play an easier class.

Criticism along the lines of "what were they thinking" is an absolutely atrocious attitude. Do some of you seriously think that real devs and minds should of thought to cancel any form of innovation and made another speed running looter one skill blasting ARPG?

All other platforms like Youtube and Reddit are showing massive positivity towards the release and your opinions are in the minority. Are a lot of you really going to label this game as "anti fun" just because the campaign and early progression/item state is forcing to dodge roll and adapt precisely to bosses and general monsters?

I'm out of these forums for a long while, was hoping for inisght, for true bro and nerd like dicussions on builds/nerfs whatever but instead just wow...too many adults with the challenge levels of mobile/webpage gaming.

Seriously, imagine being an adult with the patience level of 2 days worth of gameplay, threads titled "I'm too soft"...I'm done, this is pathetic.

It's the vocal minority. Most people are busy playing the game, trying things out.

The game sucks. I'm not even a PoE 1 player. The vast majority of people praising PoE-2 aren't even in act 2 yet, and those that are are mostly the streamer viewer addict types who are just copying the top 5 builds right now.

The vast majority of builds simply suck. And Mercenary is horrendous.

The worst part of PoE 2 is the overly long boss fights. The novelty and cool patterns in these boss fights stop being fun as a Mercenary when I realize 'hey I gotta do this loop without getting bored for about 15-20 minutes straight right now. This is actually worse than going to work. I'd rather go to work or do chores!'.

The game is a SLOG. There is no debate, period. And there's also a 40 page long thread about the game bricking and destroying computers you can find in bug report section.

99% of players praising the game are high on copium because they are playing a new game with pretty graphics. Once the drop rates, boss HP amount, and EXTREMELY restrictive gem systems are realized (because you can only have 1 gem of each type, builds will be 100% concrete with no flexibility at all in end game. Terrible), they will start turning coat or just quitting.

They are disappointed in poe 2 and you are disappointed in them.
What to make of that? Carry on I guess.

Sadly I think many who ended up in PoE are not really gamers, and I don't mean that in a negative light, but rather they're in PoE for reasons other than to actually play it as a video game, such as to experience the simple joy of hitting 777 at a casino. There's a lot of new exploration and challenges in PoE2 but some people just aren't here for that.

What were they thinking? They chose challenge over fun. Why couldn’t it be both. The only people having fun are the 2% who got lucky drops and coasted through the first 2 chapters while the other 98% are left banging are heads against walls trying to get to act 2. If you cater to the 2% this game will be dead before it even releases.

That's fine, people have lives, jobs, families.

The only thing that is pathetic is that poe2 players are so upset that not everyone is enjoying the game.
