Dying just as you Kill as Boss all loot disappears (annoying)
I have a suggestion, if you die at the same time you kill a boss can it please be made so that your loot doesn't disappear and stays on the floor after reviving at a checkpoint. Its so annoying to run all through a map kill a boss at the end of an area then have your loot disappear as you die at the same time, I am all for not dying but this has happened a couple of times now!

I'm here to provide similar feedback, and surprised I don't see more of this. I'm piggybacking on this thread that I found in Search, as opposed to creating a new one.
It is super annoying to spend so much time defeating a boss, see some rare loot drops, but then die to lingering adds and lose that loot!! I think the first time it happened to me was with some wandering adds by the boss. I defeated the boss, and while looking at the loot, I was under the impression that the fight was over. Nope, some of the henchmen killed me. I guess I assumed they disappeared with the boss. Post 12/10 patch, I fought the Colossus in Keth. Defeated it, but needed to make space after picking up the quest item. Moments later, those skittering golems spawned and self-destructed on me, killing me. At least I got the quest item. Not sure if that triggered the spawning. Note to self now: make backpack space prior to a big fight, if I can tell a fight is coming up. Grab everything, and hope that I don't miss story pieces since my attention will be drawn to loot and wandering monsters. Of course, it would be nicer if POE2 gave you a breather after a boss fight and despawn added mobs. |

This happened to me too. I killed a boss with Arctic Armor, but the hit that activated skill killed me. I saw the loot drop on my corpse, including a rare. I got back to the spot quick as the checkpoint was just off screen and all the loot was gone.
