Screen Tearing (PS5)

First off game is great, ton of fun. Holy moly the screen tearing on ps5 is the worst ive ever personally experienced at times however. Not unplayable but man it is ROUGH and frequent. In certain areas pretty much constant.

Yes, the hunting grounds are horrible to look at. Playable but distracting.
I changed the refresh rate from 60hz to 120hz which is closer to the refresh rate of my tv, and that fixed the screen tearing for me.
Regardless of screen refresh rate, screen tearing is happening when playing via the PS5; the PS5 handles the refresh rate, it has its own settings for this, the game should be using the PS5's settings as a reference.
Yeah the screen tearing is really bad. I’ve tried every possible graphics configurations in game and it still happens. Sadly my TV is neither 120hs or VRR. Really hope ggg fix this somehow.

That's likely due to VRR being active on 120Hz. If others don't have screens that support the option then they will see screen tearing, particularly if they don't have the dynamic resolution options enabled.
Was the same on xbox for me then I changed the upscale mode from Bilinear to NIS and and it looks much better.
The screen tearing only gets worse, it begins to ramp up at the Hunting Grounds and then gets progressively worse and just walking short distances onboard the caravan causes huge ripples on the screen.

It's sad cause it takes away from an otherwise gorgeous game.
I’m also experiencing screen tearing despite dropping the settings to lowest. I expected better from all the effort they made to have this be a good console experience. What new game doesn’t include some form of refresh rate syncing. How could they not test it on the biggest console platform? I was hoping this would be fixed in the latest patch. I’m sure pc has easy work around a but If they don’t fix this I’ll be getting headaches and eye strain and have to move to pc when early access is done. My tv doesn’t support VRR or 120 hz.

I play on Xbox series X and agree. This is absolutely ridiculous that there's no vsync option...
