Leap Slam on Controller
Currently Leap Slam (and possibly other area-targeting skills, I've yet to play another class) will always jump the minimum distance when there are no nearby enemies and when playing on a controller, only seemingly increasing it slightly when targeting enemies. This limits its general utility, both outside and inside combat.
Suggestion: keep current behavior, but allow holding down the ability key to also increase the range by which it targets the ground/enemies. This would also likely solve similar issues for skills that have similar mechanics. Last bumped on Dec 30, 2024, 5:22:32 PM

Yeah, they need to do something with it. I dont know how it was in PoE1 as I played it on pc, but in d4 when you use it it goes in the direction you are facing on max range or something like that.
I know it will never be as good as it is with a mouse, but at least you should be able to use it when there are no enemies at max range. |

Couldn't agree more - was so disappointed when I saw how this worked on controller after getting used to using it on M&KB. I prefer playing with controller and I really hope they change this behaviour.

Was pretty excited to play PoE2 on controlles since I prefer to use it over K&M but that leap slam is pretty painfull. It's utility is basically non existant outside of combat and even during combat it's not that great. |

maybe make it dependent on button hold time to adjust range Last edited by Scasir#5293 on Dec 14, 2024, 7:16:13 PM

I heard there is a skill option to change how it works, currently at work so I don't know how to do it/haven't tested it. I heard its buggy but its better than the minimum distance jumping thing

there's an option but it's clunky, like there's a big blue circle around you that is showing the range but it does not stay center around your character (on pc) wich is totaly weird tbh. it SHould stay center on you as long as you hold. Not the only skill that could be better with controller hopefully they look into it.
