POE 2 died after killing the ritual boss in act 1 cruel diffcuilty and didn't get the drop/spirit

i was fighting the boss in POE 2 was able to take down the boss with me, but i lost all the loot, went back to kill the boss again still got nothing :(

Same thing literally just happened to me, is the +30 spirit just gone forever?

Its happened to me twice on different bosses. I kill the boss but die after before I can loot. Then the loot disappears. It seems like a really bad mechanic.

Just happened to me on cruel, the tree kept activating it's aoe after the boss had died. Killed me, and then it still kept going. Unfair to have the ritual tree still going after the boss has been killed.
