respec and skill gems

Ive been trying to farm gold and find some skill gems so i can respec and maybe do enough dmg to kill a boss.
Im sorc, im specd light and have arc. Ive taken 100% damage nodes on tree including light pen. Ive got fairly crappy items considering ive been trying to upgrade them since lvl 4.

im lvl 18 and stuck at 150dps on arc and cannot kill a1 boss.

Trying the last three hours to farm 3k gold and find a gem so i can respec to firewall but cannot find any gems anywhere and the rare items in shop are literally unattainable for the price. i cant get any properties i need or want on anything

Just reroll dude, it's a new game, try stuff out, if it don't work, try something else.

I used frost bomb a lot next to spark+firewall and arc. Get some cold as extra on your staff/wand - good clear and good single target too.

You will have several buttons to press tho, I'm not using WASD.
