Poe is still not friendly for casuals

Gem system got lot improvement. Even have videos about then. But you still need to google what specific passive gems actually do. You can easily fix this by adding proper information so people can read it. Like how hard it is to do it? Easiest fix.

Then you have this passive skill tree. Again they do not have proper tooltips what they do. Again. How hard it is to write text? Most in skill tree like 90% are also useless skills for your build. Why not just simplify but in way you still have choices to make?

I don't even need mention how overtuned game is + how hard it is get any upgrades. We come to the point that because you need minmax in this game you need again copypaste builds.

Like who wants to spend outside game constantly when majority just wants to chill 1-3 hours? I mean if this game is meant for streamers who play 20 hours per day then fine but you will not keep intrest of this game after hype.

Wasn't that supposed to be easy to do in PoE 2?
I might have "lied" to some newbies that asked about this on steam
Told them it would be much easier to respec in PoE 2
Just saw a video on youtube that talked about how expensive it is to respec

Its made for streamers and tryhards. If part of the intent was to appeal to a larger audience..this will not do it. Look at the hell D4 went through on release for difficulty, clunkiness, slowness, etc......

Nope, respec is insanely cheaper.

It doesn't require a random currency that drops extremely rarely. I played a lot of PoE1 and orbs of regrets weren't dropping by the droves. You get lot of gold and once you're in act2 or act3, you can respect pretty freely if you want.

That being said, if you disenchant all your loot rather than sell it, then I can see the argument about how respec is expensive at least early on, as you'll be quite limited in money.

IDK, bro, im new to the franchise, and i dont have a lot of free time to game. I am very satisfied with the state of the game. respec feels fair, gems seem complex but not difficult to learn, the passive skill tree itself is big, but i like the customizability, i havent looked at any guides or anything, and i dont feel overwhelmed. yes, this is justy my experience but... idk man, i feel confident i can casually play this game for a long time. its not like the game play is competitive. just enjoy at your own pace, dont worry about streamers.

I’m new to PoE. The difficulty is fine. I’m stuck at Act 1 Final Boss after day 2. You can’t enjoy it because you want the game to hold your hand and you think progress = good. Frankly that’s okay too but you should go play Diablo. The trick is I might not get past the Act 1 boss in a week but I’m growing and getting better. It’s a puzzle to solve and a nice slow burn. Just a different mentality. You’re so enthusiastic to get further but this Act 1 Boss is stronger than the D4 act 4 boss. If you ever really want to enjoy something like this you can’t give a care in the world about how well your peers are doing. It doesn’t matter. It’s you vs the game. Leave it all on the battlefield and you’ll eventually make progress guaranteed. The dopamine hit in something like this is so much better than the droning buzz of being able to turn your brain off and move forward. Hell you’re probably further than me lol. Just kick back and enjoy figuring it out. You’ll find that life is good.

D4 was not difficult on release or in beta. D4 was super clunky and lacked content. PoE 2 is a whole other level of difficult for a game of its kind.
