Seriously ggg why is blood mage mana scaling 1-1 with health

The upside of this is that you get VERY VERY light heals. When my 1 ability costs 300 life and mana to cast and you only reward me with a 100 HP orb after killing 20 monsters. I have spell vamp and it still ends up killing me 99% of the time. Theres been times when i tap my ability lose half my hp then get 1 shot by one of the weakest boss projectiles.

Also why do the orbs last such a short time? Did the *you damage yourself for half your hp every cast* really need the extra draw back of only allowing the orb to last 2 seconds? I dont think so..

Now onto the 10% spell vamp... It sucks like actually i cant tell a difference. I sat through 2 hours of re running the ultimatum to unlock the ability only for it not to solve the innate issue i have of legit killing myself.

I havent seen a rare item in ages to help me with my life situation since they nuked the drop rates. This game is turning unplayable...

This is the 'LOL wrong choice!' ascendency. The gimmick of the class e completely counterproductive, I never maintain overhealt to justify the increased crit dam, you need to spec for more health but you mana is still a problem, life leech is garbage, and the AOE from bosses make the Pac-Man minigame completely nonsensical.

The whole execution of this ascendency is broken, if I weren't playing with friends I would certainly drop the game until they introduce the Templar or Druid, but for now, I'm re-rolling a Sorc.
