Skill binds for crossbow skills messy
I needed a long time of try and error to figure out the pecularities of binding crossbow skills.
I understand that the goal is to have different icons to signify the different states a crossbow skills. So standard and skill attack share the same bind and the icon switches accordingly. I as a new player did not unterstand that. I got irritated trying to bind both attacks separately. Therefore I mistook the bind selections as somehow incomplete Where is my standard attack or skill attack? I thought. When I select from the drop down menue of a skill, then not the actual skill gets added, but the ammo switch to enable the shared skill button. That irritated me too. My suggestion: List all the skills and functions in the bind selection list, even if they share a button. If a player selects an icon, which is not active in the current state of the weapon, than rather switch the weapon state upon the executed binding. I think it is frustrating if a player selects a skill and it changes its icon and is not working afterwards apparently, cause the ammo switch function was added instead of the actual skill. If a player selects a skill, then the skill should be bound, not its ammoswitch. The ammoswitch takes places automatically. Even if the player does not understand that, it still works. But if a player gets redirected to a button, which seemingly does nothing upon pressing, that is frustrating. There may very well be far better solutions, but it should not remain as it is I think.
