Weapon swap mechanic for melee skills ?

I am trying to setup 2 weapon sets and when I have my one handed mace selected I want to use the one handed mace strike skill on left click. When I swap to my two handed mace I want it to automatically switch to the two-handed mace strike skill on my left click. Do we really have to switch the skill manually to achieve this or is there a way to set this up properly ?
If it doesnt swap automatically then 2 weapon sets are basically unplayable for me

I am struggling with the exact same problem. I understand devs wanted to have one set of skills for flawless switching, but having to manually change standard attack between weapons is really weird. Another option is to "waste" a second slot and use stanard attack of second weapon on different button, but that's even worse for me.

Wondered if anyone else actually care about that too.
what you can do is assign two different buttons, or same button + modifier like shift or alt. first button will use the one hand mace skill, the other button will use two handed weapon skill. the weapon switch will happen automatically when you use each skill, saving you the hustle of pressing x
You can assign a skill to a weapon set. Click on the small arrow at the side of the skill level in the menu and select the weapon set of choice. It will swap automatically when you cast the skill.

Edit: The arrow is in the right side of the skill dps.

Yeah, but for me clicking "X" is not a hustle. I would prefer to click "X" and toogle between one-handed LPM and two-handed LPM instead of having to waste another skill slot.

You can do that with most skills, but not with the standard attack skill. So you have One-Handed Mace Strike and Two-Handed Mace Strike and these are two distinct skills, either occupying two skill slots or you one, but then you have to MANUALLY switch between them.

For me, the weapon ones are associated with the weapon, so it is true that you can't assign the weapon set, but when I use one skill or another it changes automatically.

Yes, they are working exactly like that. But me and OP prefer to have both skills associated with the same skill slot (LPM) and change it depending on which weapon set we are using at the moment.

So if I am using One-Handed Mace, I want to have One-Handed Mace Strike on LPM. If I am using Two-Handed Mace I want to have Two-Handed Mace Strike on LPM.
In other words, it would be cool if you manualy chaged your weapon set, so that the layout of skills on the skill panel would change.
