POE2: crafting mat scarcity

Im seeing maybe as much crafting mats as early game POE1 drop. I was under the impression it was "we want you to craft early on as much as possible". Im about to finish act one in mostly blues, one rare (drop) 1 crafted rare, no amulet. Ive mostly just applied some augmentations and thats it.

And after ive applied my augmentations, Im bone dry on crafting mats. Was this an oversight?

I've been crafting a lot, even if it's just trans augs and like 2 regals.

However, act 2 now and zero exalts.

I had one exalt in act 1.

Maybe about 10-15 augs, maybe 10 trans, 1 chance, 2 regal. Thats about it.

Thats not a lot more than POE1, if any. Hell, I might say its less... the way Jonathan was talking that they tweaked it to be 10x more, dropping multiple exalts in act 1.

If they really want us crafting in act 1 besides messing with all magic items in act 1, they need to up these mat drops.

I ran with the same shield for the first 3.5 hours.

They likely wanna hold drops atm so all RMTers cant profit as much lol

I'm still in act 1 and have found 2 exalts and 1 unique.

exalts went from being rare to now dropping like hotcakes LOL

instant gratification generation is such a plague to the gaming industry. can't wait to see what games will look like in 2050

Since making this thread, ive seen one exalt and im mid way through act 2. Im still simply augmenting magic gear as "crafting". Its boring and lame. Not a lot of crafting mats are dropping.

To boot, Ive only had two regals drop, used them already. So im rocking maybe two or three rares, rest blues. mid act 2 :(

To put it simply: If a better ilvl base drops, I dont have the crafting mats available to say "Nice! let me craft on it to see if I can get some lucky rolls". Stash is dry as a poe1 league start. Not many crafting mats so Im holding back.

From my experience, this isnt what Jonathan rogers said the mat drop & intended crafting experience would be. Glad you all are getting drops, Im not. Luck I guess.

It would appear the exalt drop rate was increased, but thats about it. Everything else is dropping as infrequently as poe1 .
