Are 1 or 2 button builds still possible?

I absolutely hate "combo" or multi skill gameplay.

I do not enjoy DOTA or LOL, or other ARPGs where I have to play strategically or think about what skills I want to combine.
(If I wanted to do that I would play a strategic game, such as Baldurs Gate 3, Divinity Original Sin etc..)

I like mindlessly clicking while watching a movie.
I love spending HOURS creating builds. "Theorycafting"
I HATE boss fights.

What builds, that only use 1 skill, are available in POE 2?

the game has 100 bosses, 50 of which are in just the campaign alone.
On average every 4th map will also be a boss map.

This game is just not for you. It has ton of bossing, it has slower combat, it requires more or less comboing.

Maybe go back to poe1?
I'd say possibly Minions route would be your best bet, followed by a Warrior Totem built where you don't have to do much but summon earth slam totems for each pack you come across.
level 24 Merc and yeah not really enjoying been forced to combo skills to do damage, would be nice to have the option to choose to either set a combo of skills up for damage or pick one or two skills for damage (as in you actually click/enable something to make that choice. it poe flask piano all over again but with skills instead of flasks, hence why we only have a single life and mana flask now imo. Enjoying the content but not the combo gameplay at all :(
sadly I don't think this will change.
I agree with you on everything. I'm waiting to see if anyone posts something interesting.
I think it's too early yet to say. People are going to dive really deep and explore the mechanics a LOT over the next several months. I'd say at this point, anything seems possible. And of course, there's always m**ros.
try minions. i just put srs on right click and spam that. its enough most of the time even for bosses. then you can have some skeletons that automatically revive so you dont need to press anything

That's completely not true, many bosses share the same mechanics and it is still extremely easy to do 1 button builds with ranger for example.
I totally relate to your perspective on 1-2 button builds. I'm also a big fan of straightforward builds that let you focus on other aspects of the game.

From what I've seen so far in PoE 2, there are still some viable options for simpler builds:

1. Minion builds as mentioned above which remains very effective with mainly just one button to press but seems to be a bit complex to olay at the moment.

2. Totem builds where you mostly just place your totems and move around

3. Certain Ranger builds that can focus on one main clearing skill with maybe a separate boss setup

The theorycrafting aspect is still very much present in PoE 2, even with simpler builds. You can still spend hours optimizing passives, support gems, and gear.

I'd suggest trying these more straightforward builds before getting discouraged. The game still offers good possibilities for different playstyles.

Also, for those mentioning the boss fights - while there are indeed many bosses, having a simpler build doesn't mean you can't handle them effectively. It's more about knowing the mechanics and having good defenses built into your character.

Totally true. Poe2, now, has the same feelings of poe1 in 2013.
In the future we will have a lot of powerfull and unbalanced builds, but not now. We have only 2 days of gaming.
