The EA preorder cosmetics are actually for free because of the included points?!
Hey all,
am I seeing something wrong here? In each EA preorder you get points equal to the money spent? Doesn't that mean that you could basically buy the most expensive preorder and as long as you spend the points later on in the game every cosmetic item included is basically free? That is how supporter packs work, yes. All modern supporter packs invlude their full dollar value in Wraeclast Coins, effectively allowing you to spend the money twice. This partially offsets the egregiously high cost of most PoE micro transactions, but I don't know as I'd call the supporter packs 'free'.

" The way I look at supporter packs is that you are buying the coins and getting cosmetics/pets for free. Since most people need to the coins to buy convenience items like stash tabs, or the new mystery box that usually comes with each season. |

Larger purchases tend to be more valuable to the person offering the digital goods, so yes if you buy a supporter pack you might be able to afford 1-2 celestial style MTXs.

This is a really expensive "free to play" game.
" well, the game's not released yet. Wait 6-12 months and it will be completely free. |
" Yeah I see where you are coming from, paying $0 is a lot of money. I think most would like to pay $15 a month, or maybe $70 for the digital only copy. |
" As long as the really expensive parts are all cosmetics, I don't really see the problem. Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.
