I want to play the game completely blind
It's my first ARPG (besides Diablo 4, which I dabbled into but it didn't hook me really) and I want to play it completely blind without looking up builds or guides and avoiding most if not all content made by streamers and youtubers. I just want to experience it in my pace without input from others. I can't wait to preload. This will be so much fun and I hope y'all are going to have much fun aswell.

Same. Will play with a friend.
I think it will be great fun to just experience it without any streamers. I also have a feeling that it will be a little bit easier to get into than poe1. |

same. ive seen some footage already so im not going in 100% blind but i will be avoiding knowing what anyone else outside of my friend group is doing for the foreseeable future.
i dont want to trade items outside of my friend circle, know what the meta is, see items i havent found. im glad i did all that in poe1, it was fun being a trade whore and understanding everything about the game back in the day but really the reason i first got into arpgs was to be in my own little world, find cool things, have that sense of wonder and exploration. i play with irl friends now instead of being on my own but i think were all in the same boat wanting to go back to that blind experience, i think thats where the real fun is. the whole trade meta thing is too demanding and it spoils too much of the magic. |

" I have no idea about trade meta, because I don't know what this refers to since I didn't play PoE 1, but I can relate to the whole meta-gaming thing as a whole and how much of the fun it can take away from a game. I wish y'all a lot of fun! |

yeah, by trade meta i simply mean extensively trading with other players and understanding what the wider games metas are in terms of how to build characters, what skills are hot, what items are valuable, what the most profitable content strategy to farm is etc. essentially being an active part of the trade communities knowledge base.
im gonna pick a class that looks fun, play the content that we enjoy and hopefully find some cool items that make me want to start new characters. part of what made poe1 amazing was that community and the really deep knowledge base that evolved from the games systems and im glad i got to experience that, but you pay a large price for it. |

yeah usually I just follow a guide but now I feel that freedom to do whatever I want, like I did in 2012 when I started playing poe1.
