POE2 Combo consumption

The monk has a couple of combo mechanics. I was wondering if any combo accrued is fully consumed when a combo-skill is used; or whether excess combo is still available for a follow-up combo.

For example, is it possible to build up 15 combo, then use Mantra of Destruction (10 combo) and a Combo Finisher (5 combo) in succession?

Combo is not a global counter. You gain and spend combo separately for each skill.

Does that mean that 1 attack will add +1 combo to all my combo skills?! Nice

it means exactly not that im afraid

...so whenever I attack I get +1 combo to a random skill? Similar to Vaal souls?

you get +1 to the combo count of the skill you attacked with.

No that doesn't sound right at all. There are skills that require X Combo use, and you gain combo by attacking with any skills.

Yes, you can spend from any pool, but the pools are tracked seperately.
