Poe2 map portals
My thinking here is fairly simple: if when you die in a map in poe2 it fails the map and you cannot re-enter, why are there still 6 portals? Why not give us one unlimited portal which only disappears when we die?
This would let us move freely in and out of the map for trades, to go afk etc. Since the 6 portals were used as your “lives” it now seems redundant to limit the number of portal uses. Thanks for your time. (ps… remove identifying items, ancient mechanic which serves no purpose and limits filters) Edit- In the livestream they announced that dying in a map means failing and you cannot re-enter. This is the basis of my post There are people in this world who prefer solitude, but there are none who can survive it. " What if exiting the map doesn't count as failing which would allow you to sell/stash loot and then return for more? This would explain it. PS I haven't watched the livestream so I have no idea if they've mentioned anything about portals, just throwing the idea out there based on what you've written. |

Yeah so now if you die inside a map you can’t re-enter. But there are still 6 portals. Hence my reasoning. Seems pointless to limit us by portals if they no longer are the gatekeeper to number of “attempts”

Its still a limit for how much stuff you can ferry out of the map, especially for group play as full 6 player team only have the one portal per player.

Using it to limit how many players can enter a map makes sense, although there are other ways to do that. But why limit how much loot you can take out of a map?

So you have to make choise what to loot and also so you dont feel obligated to feryy all the trash back to sell for an hour.
