Bought Lord of Ogham Supporter Pack on STEAM what do I do with the key GGG sent me?

So, after buying the Lord of Ogham Supporter Pack on STEAM, Path of Exile 2 was added to my STEAM library. Shortly after, I got a key from GGG. I wasn't sure what to do with this key. If I enter it in STEAM it just tells me that Path of Exile 2 was already in my Library. So, is this key not needed? Can I invite a friend to play the EA with it?

From what i understand from the email i received on the purchase, they Steam key only adds the game to your library.

Access to the game is granted on the account, so giving the key to a friend will let him to add and download the game, but he won't be able to play it unless his account has the access granted (because you will need to log into your account ingame).

You got that key because the automatic email you get getting it in Steam is the same that we get by buying it on the website (which grants you access to the game but not the game in Steam, we need to add that key to be able to play from there).
