Is it reasonable to purchase an early access support if I am a Mac user?
Let me start by saying I use only Mac because my work is in video production and all my kids have Mac systems so I am pretty locked into the ecosystem. I haven't used a Windows system since Windows Vista and I don't really have plans to get a windows system just for gaming. I started playing other games on the PS5 on my projector and between that and my Mac systems I have found it a good enough gaming system for my needs. I have supported POE mostly on the Playstation over the years and I just found out that maybe those transactions do not carry over? I haven't found any official word on that but I just saw a thread here mentioning that. Anyway what I was wondering is if it is feasible to purchase an early access supporter package on my Mac? Wondering if the timeframe for the early access may pass before the Mac version is released? I also noticed on Steam the Mac support information is no longer on the store page. I sent an email to GGG to see if anyone had answered if it will be supported or if it is being considered for dropping Mac support but I got a bit of an automated like response. So I am wondering if Apple silicone versions are even a consideration? Hoping maybe here might have some answers. I would like to continue to support GGG but I am not sure it is a better move to support on my Mac or the PS5 at this point. Thoughts and discussions welcome. Thanks.

I'm not sure about Mac, since you are already on the PS5, why don't you just exclusively play on that? Is it a bad experience to play on?

Oh sorry I was saying that it almost seems the support packages you buy on the Playstation do not carry over long term but they do on PC systems. I am not sure if that is true though. So I should have made that part more clear. I am fine with it but if it is just going to be dumped on the next system then I would probably reconsider the amount I support on that platform. If it is untrue than yes I will continue to play there. 👊

As far as I know, all your PS5 transactions were permanent, and you can permanently use them on the PS5 platform.
I.E they will all still carry over from POE1 Last edited by Metronomy#6891 on Nov 22, 2024, 10:08:49 PM

That would be epic if it is true. I noticed several people talking about it not carrying over on different locations and I came to find a thread that says they are not carrying over. It is a thread here in general. If that is false that would be great! 👊

"Its a bit confusing but the other thread is complaining about a new feature that POE1 did not have (which is called crossplay). It will not impact you at all if you treat it like POE1. Basically that feature means the PS5 microtransactions you bought will only work on your PS5 and you would have to re-buy them if you want to switch to PC. 1 Benefit you will get is you still have crossplay, so even if you stick to PS5 exclusively you will also be able to play with any player that is playing their character on Xbox or PC |

Ah that must be what other people are talking about. That would be perfect. Thanks! 👊
