[POE2] - The servers better be ready in 2 weeks to handle the player numbers.

At least make sure it doesn't bottleneck until 500k or so.
I want to play with no problems XD.

This is my biggest fear at this point...

I will withhold to spend $30 for new core or finally bought my Settlers pack until i feel POE 2 EA experience is good.

I only got 2 problems with it.

When you fail a map you can't replay it.
And Sanctum for the ascension points.
I really hate sanctum and the fact they are forcing me to play it.
I hope getting the ascension points isn't so taxing on the player when you try to run it and fail when you get hit multiple times.

Aside from that, it looks good, and the classes I wanted to play the most are in the beta.

mine is 1 support gem

no scouring

forced to play new trials instead of old.





Lots of fun on min-max dps until dev find out they fuck up and tune down the monster hp, or no scouring but player just don't use ex at all and still rely on trading. Lastly, no subclass Ranger rise i guess?

Yea, I hope they make changes to that 1 type of support gem in the whole socket tree.
I didn't know about the scouring part, and I hope they add it back in.
And yes the new trials took me by surprise.
But getting the ascension points does seem easier with the Ultimatum trial.
So I hope I'm not blowing it out of the water by overreacting with the Sanctum trial for the ascension points.
But it does seem extremely harder to complete compared to Ultimatum where you just have to kill enemies with no penalty when getting hit.

If ggg gets 500k+ ppl in EA i will be surprised.

I do hope they can get enough server capacity to prevent log in queues and server issues. Most hardcore longterm players will have access for free to EA. A decent amount will buy EA. The unknown portion is the Diablo 4 player base. I've noticed recently D4 streamers being super hyped for PoE 2. Its possible they might be able to convert a lot of D4 players into PoE 2 EA players. That could be problematic.

Similar to when Blizzard had a ton of negative news, players quit WoW and joined FF14, making it the current #1 MMORPG today. I personally would love to see a huge conversion from D4 to PoE. However that reality could mean month to several month server issues if its still to difficult to get key components for fast server expansion. I don't even know if GGG outsources server hosting and such to a 3rd party, or if they have actual physical servers located somewhere that would need to be expanded in person.

Hopefully it goes well. Based on past experience I could expect it to be unlikely to log in and play for many users on Dec 6th.
