how to get poe2 on steam - guide me please :)

Hi,

I have a legacy - bound to steam account
I want to purchase POE2 support pack to get access to the beta. (and to support this game !)


2 options :

- Buy in game from POE Store via steam Wallet.
or
- Buy from steam poe2 main game page.


I dont know how to proceed :(

* If i purchase via "in game poe1", will it unlock the steam poe2 game ? or get a mail with a beta key ? what will happen.

* At the opposite, if i pre-purchase the poe2-steam game, will i get the rewards into my poe 1 account at next login (not sure yet...) ?

. at the end, I want to play poe2 via steam, I am uncofortable of doing things wrong, so i can't buy yet, i need to be sure :)

1. You have to link your account with steam
2. Need to download the steam client and start the game
3. Open Shop (ingame) and click get more points
4. You can now choose a pack (or whatever you want) and pay with your steam wallet
5. done, can uninstall steam client now if you prefer the Standalone. Can also unlink steam client if you prefer that. If you want to play EA via steam you have to (on poe website) go to [My Account] - [Path of Exile 2 Early Access] and get the steam client key which you can then redeem in your steam client


yes you should have your points/MTX available immediatly

worked as you described

- purchased ingame from poe1 (steam version), with steam wallet
- got rewards instantly in poe 1

exit, go to website
>>> go to [My Account] - [Path of Exile 2 Early Access] and there is now a button to click, that give you the "steam poe2 cd key" , that you can then copy paste to steam, it succefully added poe2 to my game library in steam.

does it take some time to show up? I'm not panicking but I did follow these steps for the $60 pack a few minutes ago and the Path of Exile 2 Early Access under steam client key still says:

Sorry, these keys are currently unavailable. Please check back soon!

I assume it's just going through it's process and hopefully the key will show up soon.

at a point recently everyone thats buying packs aren't getting steam keys its a issue atm they are aware of

The Key is not showing on mine as of this morning.

Login into path of exile go to my account (click your name top left corner)
then click Path of Exile 2 Early Access
then click Path of Exile 2 Steam Client Key
and you should get your key
